Prototype 2
Our second prototype was a capacitive touch switch. We thought this would help demonstrate our users experience with our garment. Ideally, the user would be able to turn on and off the UV lights to choose when the color changing would occur when otherwise not exposed to UV light in the environment. We had difficult with the capacitive touch sensor. We tested both conductive fabric and thread as a sensor. The conductive fabric worked with it detected a change when you pressed it and immediately released. The conductive thread worked when it detected a change when you lift it off the table and then would reset.
